Possible Causes
Loose communication harness, Faulty user interface board, Defective power module, Electrical noise or surge
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the cooktop from the counter or opening panels.
- Reseat connectors: Access the underside of the cooktop and reseat all low-voltage harnesses between the touch control board and the induction power modules.
- Inspect cables: Look for damaged insulation, pinched wires, or corroded connectors. Replace any compromised harnesses.
- Power reset: After reseating, restore power and test. If E6 recurs, isolate by disconnecting one module at a time (per service manual) to identify the faulty component.
- Replace faulty board: Replace the user interface board or the defective power module as indicated by isolation tests.
Note: Use anti-static precautions when handling electronic boards.
