Possible Causes
Temperature or time set outside allowed range, Touch panel misread, Control firmware glitch, Faulty encoder knob (on some models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure oven is off before troubleshooting.
- Reset settings: Cancel all functions. Re-enter the desired mode and set a temperature within the recommended range (e.g., 120–500°F / 50–260°C).
- Check timer format: Ensure you are entering time in the correct format (minutes vs hours) as per the manual.
- Clean control surface: Wipe the touch panel with a dry, soft cloth to remove grease or moisture that may interfere with touch sensing.
- Power cycle: Turn off power at the breaker for a few minutes, then restore and test again.
- Inspect control knob (if present): For models with rotary encoder knobs, ensure the knob is not cracked or slipping on the shaft. Replace the knob or encoder if inputs are erratic.
Note: Persistent ERR messages with valid inputs may indicate a failing user interface board.
