Possible Causes

Open-circuit oven temperature sensor, Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose connector at control board, Damaged sensor plug

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing any panels.

  • Access the sensor: Remove the oven racks. Locate the temperature sensor on the rear interior wall. Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward to access the connector.
  • Check connection: Ensure the connector is tight and not burnt. Reseat the plug several times to clean contacts.
  • Measure resistance: With the sensor unplugged, measure resistance across its terminals. If it reads open (infinite) or extremely high, replace the sensor.
  • Check wiring to control: If the sensor tests good, trace the harness from the sensor to the control board. Look for cuts, pinches, or melted insulation, especially near the oven cavity and rear panel. Repair or replace the harness as needed.
  • Control board: If wiring and sensor are good but F3 persists, the sensor input circuit on the control board may be defective and the board should be replaced.

Note: Always reinstall the sensor with its original gasket or seal to prevent heat leakage into the control area.
