Possible Causes
Failed microprocessor on control board, Power surge damage, Corrupted control firmware, Shorted keypad membrane affecting control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing the control panel.
- Power cycle: Turn off power for at least 10 minutes to fully discharge the control. Restore power and check if F5 returns.
- Inspect control board: Remove the front control panel to access the electronic oven control. Look for burnt components, bulged capacitors, or signs of moisture.
- Check keypad / touch panel: If your Bertazzoni range uses a separate touch membrane or glass touch panel, disconnect its ribbon cable from the control and power up briefly. If F5 disappears (but buttons do not work), the keypad is likely faulty.
- Replace faulty module: Replace the electronic oven control board and/or touch panel as indicated by your tests. Transfer any jumpers or configuration plugs from the old board to the new one.
Note: After replacing the control, verify correct oven temperature calibration and all functions.
