Possible Causes

Stuck touchpad button, Moisture behind glass control panel, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Shorted touch interface on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing the control panel.

  • Clean and dry panel: If the error appeared after a spill or cleaning, wipe the glass panel dry and allow it to air dry for several hours with the power off.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel trim to access the keypad ribbon cable. Ensure it is fully seated and not damaged or corroded.
  • Check for physical sticking: Press each button individually to feel for sticking or lack of travel. If a specific area feels stuck, the keypad assembly may need replacement.
  • Module replacement: If F7 persists after drying and reseating cables, replace the touch control / keypad assembly. On some Bertazzoni models, this is integrated with the glass front; on others, it is a separate membrane.

Warning: Do not spray cleaner directly onto the control panel; spray onto a cloth first to prevent liquid intrusion.
