Bertazzoni
Oven Cavity Illumination Failure
Oven light does not work, but oven heats normally
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Burnt oven lamp, Faulty lamp socket, Defective oven light switch or relay, Broken wiring to lamp holder
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before replacing the bulb or touching the lamp assembly.
- Replace bulb: Remove the glass lens cover inside the oven (usually by turning counterclockwise). Replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven lamp specified by Bertazzoni.
- Inspect socket: Check the lamp socket for corrosion or heat damage. If the new bulb does not light and the socket looks burnt, replace the socket assembly.
- Check switch: Test the oven light button or control function. If the light does not respond but the bulb and socket are good, the control relay or wiring may be faulty and require service.
Note: Do not use standard household bulbs; they are not rated for oven temperatures.
