Electronic oven control beeps continuously and displays F1; oven may shut off or not respond to keypad inputs.

Safety first: Turn off the range at the circuit breaker and allow all components to cool before servicing. Do not work on live circuits.

• Power reset: Turn the breaker off for 5 minutes, then restore power. If F1 returns immediately, the fault is likely permanent.
• Inspect keypad ribbon: Remove the front control panel bezel to access the keypad ribbon where it plugs into the electronic oven control (EOC). Check for corrosion, grease, or moisture. Gently clean the connector with isopropyl alcohol and a lint‑free swab, then reseat firmly.
• Check for stuck keys: With power off, press each keypad button several times to free any stuck contacts. If some keys feel different (mushy or stuck), the membrane is likely failing.
• Isolate keypad vs. board: If possible, disconnect the keypad ribbon from the EOC, restore power, and see if F1 appears with the keypad disconnected. If F1 still appears, the EOC is bad. If F1 disappears, the keypad is bad.
• Replace failed component: Order the correct BlueStar control panel keypad or EOC using the model and serial number. Transfer one wire at a time from the old board to the new to avoid mis‑wiring. Reassemble, restore power, and test all oven functions.
