Possible Causes
Recent power outage, Loose power cord connection, Tripped breaker or intermittent supply, Faulty terminal block at rear of range
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the breaker before inspecting electrical connections.
- Confirm household power: Check that the range’s circuit breaker is fully in the ON position and not partially tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Inspect power cord and terminal block: Pull the range out carefully. Remove the rear cover over the terminal block. Check for loose screws, burned wires, or melted insulation. Tighten connections and replace any damaged wiring or the terminal block.
- Clear PF and reset clock: Restore power, clear the PF message per the user manual (often by pressing "Clear/Off"), and reset the clock.
- Monitor for recurrence: If PF appears frequently without known outages, have an electrician check the circuit for voltage drops or loose connections.
