Possible Causes
Bent or worn door hinges, Loose hinge receiver brackets, Warped oven door, Damaged door gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the oven is cool before working on the door.
- Inspect hinges: Open the door and check both hinges for bending, cracks, or looseness at the mounting points.
- Check hinge receivers: On the range body, inspect the hinge receivers for damage or looseness. Tighten mounting screws if needed.
- Test door closure: Close the door and look for even contact with the gasket all around. If one side is lower, the hinge on that side may be bent and should be replaced.
- Replace hinges in pairs: For best alignment, replace both BlueStar oven door hinges together. Follow the service manual for hinge removal and reinstallation.
- Inspect gasket: Replace the door gasket if it is flattened, torn, or missing sections.
