BlueStar
Oven Temperature Calibration / Sensor Drift
Oven temperature is consistently too low or too high compared to the set temperature.

Possible Causes
Aging oven temperature sensor, Miscalibrated thermostat or EOC, Poor rack placement or blocked airflow, Heat loss through door gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the oven to cool before removing panels or racks.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an accurate oven thermometer in the center of the oven. Preheat to 350°F and allow at least 20 minutes of stabilization. Compare the reading to the set temperature.
- Check multiple cycles: Repeat the test a few times to confirm consistent offset (e.g., always 25°F low).
- Use control calibration: Many BlueStar electronic models allow temperature offset adjustment in the settings menu (e.g., ±35°F). Adjust according to the measured difference.
- Inspect sensor and gasket: Check the sensor for secure mounting and the door gasket for gaps or tears. Replace the gasket if it does not seal evenly all around.
- Replace sensor if needed: If calibration cannot correct large errors, replace the oven temperature sensor with the correct BlueStar part.
