Possible Causes
Child lock function activated, Touch control panel moisture or spill, Stuck or shorted touch key sensor, Control module firmware glitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the cooktop at the circuit breaker before touching any internal parts. Do not work on live circuits.
- Check child lock: On most Bosch induction models, press and hold the key symbol / lock for 4–10 seconds until the lock indicator disappears. Try turning on a burner again.
- Dry the glass surface: If there is water, steam condensation, or food residue on the touch area, wipe it thoroughly with a soft dry cloth. Moisture can simulate a stuck key and trigger E011.
- Power reset: Switch the cooktop off at the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power. This can clear a temporary control board error.
- Check for stuck keys: With power restored, verify that no objects (pots, utensils, towels) are resting on the touch panel. If the error appears immediately on power-up with a clean, dry panel, the touch control module or glass sensor array may be faulty and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
