Possible Causes
Low line voltage, Loose neutral or line connection, Undersized wiring causing voltage drop, Faulty power module sensing circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before inspecting wiring. Electrical work should be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Check other appliances: If lights dim or other appliances behave oddly, there may be a supply issue to the home.
- Inspect terminal block: With power off, check the cooktop terminal block for loose screws or burned wires. Tighten and repair as needed.
- Measure voltage under load: Have an electrician measure voltage at the cooktop while it is operating. If it drops below spec, correct the supply or wiring.
- Replace module if needed: If supply is stable and E4 persists, the power module may be misreading voltage and should be replaced.
