Bosch range oven displays F5 and door lock may not operate correctly during self-clean.

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the door lock mechanism. Surfaces may still be hot after self-clean.

• Check door movement: Ensure the oven door closes fully and is not obstructed by racks or debris.
• Listen for lock motor: Start a self-clean cycle and listen for the door lock motor. If silent, the motor or control may be faulty.
• Inspect latch assembly: Remove the top panel or rear panel (depending on model) to access the door lock assembly. Check for broken plastic parts or disconnected rods.
• Replace lock assembly: Replace the complete door lock motor and switch assembly if defective. If the lock is good but F5 persists, the control board may need replacement.
