Control knobs are hard to turn or feel loose on Café range or cooktop

Safety first: Turn off gas and power before removing knobs if you will access valves.

• Clean knob and stem: Remove the knob and clean both the knob interior and valve stem with mild detergent. Do not use excessive water.
• Inspect knob: Check for cracks or stripped splines. Replace the control knob if damaged.
• Valve condition: If the valve is very stiff or leaks, the surface burner valve should be replaced by a qualified technician.
