Possible Causes

Failed bake or broil relay on main control board, damaged control board trace, shorted heating element causing board damage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker. Heating circuits carry high current.

  • Check elements: Inspect the bake and broil elements in the oven cavity for visible breaks, blisters, or burn marks. Replace any obviously damaged element.
  • Test element continuity: With power OFF, disconnect one wire from each element and measure resistance. A typical 240 V element will read between 10–40 Ω. An open reading indicates a failed element.
  • Inspect control board: Remove the rear control panel cover and visually inspect the electronic range control for burned spots or damaged relays.
  • Replace parts: Replace any failed bake or broil element first. If F30 persists and elements test good, replace the electronic range control (ERC).
