Control panel shows LOC or lock icon, oven or cooktop controls unresponsive

Safety first: No internal repair is needed for this condition unless the lock will not clear.

• Unlock controls: On most Café ranges, press and hold the Lock Controls or Control Lock pad for 3–5 seconds until the LOC message clears. On some models, press and hold Start for several seconds.
• Check user manual: Refer to the specific Café model's manual for the exact lock/unlock procedure.
• Stuck key: If LOC will not clear, the lock key on the touch panel may be stuck. Clean the panel and try again. If still stuck, the glass touch control panel may need replacement.
