Possible Causes
Weak or partially open bake element, failed convection element or fan, inaccurate temperature sensor, door gasket leak
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before testing elements or sensors.
- Check elements: Verify that both bake and, if equipped, convection elements glow or heat during preheat. Replace any element that does not heat.
- Test convection fan: In convection mode, listen for the fan. If it does not run, the convection fan motor or its wiring may be faulty.
- Verify temperature: Use an oven thermometer to compare actual temperature to the setpoint. If consistently off, test and possibly replace the oven temperature sensor.
- Inspect door gasket: Check the oven door gasket for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if leaking heat.
- Calibrate: Use the Café range settings to adjust oven calibration if hardware is good but temperature is slightly off.
