Possible Causes

Shorted membrane keypad on control panel, Moisture or spill intrusion into touch panel, Damaged ribbon cable between keypad and ERC, Failed electronic range control (ERC) keypad interface

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the range OFF at the breaker and allow it to sit for at least 5 minutes before touching any wiring. Do not work on the unit while it is connected to power.

Step-by-step:

  • Power reset: Turn the circuit breaker OFF for 5–10 minutes, then back ON. If F0 clears and does not return, it may have been a transient glitch.
  • Check for stuck keys: With power OFF, gently press each button on the Dacor control panel several times. Feel for any key that is physically stuck or does not click normally. Clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth (no liquid running into the panel).
  • Inspect keypad ribbon: Remove the control panel bezel (usually from behind the front panel or by removing top trim). Locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the ERC. Reseat the connector: pull it straight out, inspect for corrosion or burns, and firmly reconnect.
  • Dry out moisture: If the error appeared after a boil-over or heavy cleaning, leave power OFF and allow the control area to dry for several hours. You can direct a fan at the control panel (no heat guns).
  • If F0 persists: The membrane keypad is usually the failed component. On many Dacor models the keypad is integrated with the front control panel. Replace the control panel / keypad assembly. If a new keypad does not resolve the issue, replace the ERC (electronic range control).

When to call a technician: If you are not comfortable removing the control panel or handling ribbon cables, have a qualified Dacor technician perform the diagnosis and replacement.
