Possible Causes
Defective meat probe sensor, Damaged probe jack in oven cavity, Shorted or open probe wiring to ERC, ERC probe input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring or the rear of the oven.
- Remove probe: If a meat probe is plugged in, remove it and see if the error clears after a power reset.
- Inspect probe and jack: Check the probe tip and plug for damage or corrosion. Inspect the jack inside the oven for food debris or oxidation; clean gently if needed.
- Test probe resistance: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the probe plug. Compare to Dacor specifications (commonly a few kΩ at room temperature). Replace the probe if open or shorted.
- Check wiring: If the probe tests good, inspect wiring from the jack to the ERC for damage. Repair or replace as needed.
- Replace ERC if needed: If all hardware is good, the ERC probe input may be defective.
Do not use the probe feature until the F13 fault is resolved.
