Possible Causes

Failed thermistor on specific burner, Loose sensor connection on burner harness, Damaged wiring from burner to power board, Faulty power/induction module

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker and verify the cooktop is cool before lifting or removing it. Glass can crack if stressed while hot.

  • Identify affected zone: Note which burner(s) stop working when F30 appears.
  • Access underside: Remove the cooktop from the counter (if built-in) and remove the bottom cover to expose the burner assemblies and power board.
  • Inspect sensor wiring: Each burner has a temperature sensor (thermistor) wired back to the control/power board. Check connectors for looseness or corrosion and reseat them.
  • Test thermistor: With a multimeter, measure resistance of the suspect burner sensor at room temperature and compare to service specs. Replace the burner assembly or sensor if out of range.
  • Check power module: If sensors and wiring are good, the power/induction module may be faulty and require replacement.

Because induction and high-voltage circuits are involved, consider professional service if you are not experienced with electronic repairs.
