Possible Causes

Incorrect line voltage (e.g., 120 V instead of 240 V), Loose power cord connections at terminal block, Burned terminal block on range, Internal power supply failure on ERC

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker and verify power is off before opening the rear access panel. High voltage is present at the terminal block.

  • Check supply voltage: Using a qualified electrician or if you are trained, measure voltage at the range terminal block: typically 240 V across L1–L2 and 120 V from each leg to neutral. Correct any supply issues at the breaker or wiring.
  • Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover and inspect the terminal block where the power cord connects. Look for burned lugs, melted plastic, or loose screws. Replace the terminal block and damaged wiring if needed.
  • Check cord: Inspect the power cord for burns or frayed insulation. Replace if damaged.
  • Internal power supply: If external power is correct and connections are solid, the ERC's internal power supply may be faulty. Replace the ERC.

Line voltage issues can damage multiple components; correct wiring problems before replacing controls.
