Possible Causes

Failed low-voltage regulator on ERC, Shorted component on UI or sensor circuit, Loose low-voltage harness, Power surge damage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or rear cover.

  • Inspect control board: Look for bulging capacitors, burned resistors, or darkened areas on the ERC. Any visible damage usually means the board must be replaced.
  • Check harnesses: Ensure all low-voltage connectors (to UI, sensors, door lock, etc.) are fully seated and not pinched.
  • Isolate shorts: If F41 appears after connecting a particular harness, that circuit may be shorted. Inspect that harness and connected component for damage.
  • Replace ERC: In most cases, F41 requires replacement of the ERC.
