Possible Causes
Failed spark module, No power to spark module, Shorted or wet spark electrode, Broken ignition harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power and gas before servicing. Avoid working around wet components with power applied.
- Dry electrodes: If F60 appears after a spill or cleaning, remove burner caps and allow the igniters and surrounding area to dry completely. You can use a fan to speed drying.
- Check for spark: With power restored and gas OFF, turn a knob to ignite and look for spark at each electrode. If none spark, the spark module may not be powered or is defective.
- Inspect wiring: Access the spark module (usually under the cooktop) and check that the power connector and individual igniter leads are secure.
- Replace spark module: If wiring is intact and no spark is produced, replace the spark module with the correct Dacor part.
Do not operate burners if continuous sparking or arcing to metal surfaces is observed; this can damage components.
