Possible Causes
Non-magnetic or undersized cookware, Damaged induction coil, Faulty pan detection sensor, Software protection due to overheating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooktop surface is clean and dry. Induction surfaces remain cooler but can still be hot from cookware.
- Verify cookware: Use a magnetic stainless or cast iron pan with a flat bottom that matches the zone size. Test with a magnet; it should stick firmly to the pan bottom.
- Center the pan: Place the pan in the center of the cooking zone. Off-center placement can prevent detection.
- Try another zone: If the pan works on other zones but not one, that zone's coil or sensor may be faulty.
- Cool down: If the cooktop has been used heavily, allow it to cool for 20–30 minutes and try again. Overheat protection can temporarily disable zones.
- Service: If a specific zone never detects pans, the induction coil or power module for that zone likely needs replacement.
