Possible Causes
Stuck closed fan relay on control board, Shorted cooling fan thermostat, Faulty ERC fan control output, Wiring short causing constant power to fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the control board or fan wiring.
- Allow full cool-down: Some Dacor models keep the fan running for an extended period after use. Wait at least 60–90 minutes to confirm it truly runs continuously.
- Inspect control board: Access the ERC or relay board and look for a fan relay that may be welded closed. Replace the board if the relay is stuck.
- Check thermostat (if separate): Some ovens use a cooling thermostat that closes at high temperature. Test it for continuity at room temperature; it should be open. Replace if stuck closed.
- Wiring: Verify that the fan is not wired directly to line voltage due to a miswire from previous repairs.
