Possible Causes
Worn convection fan motor bearings, Loose fan blade or mounting screws, Debris caught in fan, Bent fan blade
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power and allow the oven to cool before removing panels or fan covers.
- Identify noise source: Run the oven briefly and listen to determine if the noise occurs only in convection mode (convection fan) or whenever the oven is hot (cooling fan).
- Inspect convection fan: Remove the rear interior panel of the oven to access the convection fan. Check for loose screws, bent blades, or debris. Tighten screws and remove debris.
- Spin test: Turn the fan blade by hand; it should spin smoothly without grinding. If rough or noisy, replace the convection fan motor assembly.
- Cooling fan: Access the top or rear of the oven to inspect the cooling fan. Tighten mounts and replace the fan if bearings are noisy.
