Possible Causes
Open bake heating element, Burned wire at bake element terminal, Failed bake relay on relay board, Faulty ERC bake output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker and verify the oven is cool before removing panels.
- Inspect bake element: Look inside the oven for visible breaks, blisters, or burn marks on the lower bake element. Replace if damaged.
- Access terminals: Remove the rear panel and inspect the bake element terminals and wiring for burns or loose connections. Repair or replace as needed.
- Test continuity: Disconnect the element and measure resistance; an open circuit means the element is bad.
- Check relay board: If the element and wiring are good, test for voltage at the element terminals when bake is commanded (advanced, live test). If no voltage, the bake relay or ERC is likely faulty and the relay board or ERC should be replaced.
