How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool before inspection.
- Inspect broil element: Check the upper element for visible damage or breaks. Replace if damaged.
- Check wiring: Access the rear of the oven and inspect broil element terminals and wiring for burns or loose connections.
- Test continuity: Measure resistance across the broil element; replace if open.
- Control check: If the element and wiring are good, the broil relay or ERC may be defective and should be replaced.
