Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Open convection element (if separate), Obstructed fan blades, Faulty convection selector or relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool before accessing the rear panel or fan cover.
- Listen for fan: In convection mode, you should hear the fan running. If not, the fan motor or control may be faulty.
- Inspect fan: Remove the interior fan cover and check for food debris or foil obstructing the blades. Clean as needed.
- Test fan motor: Access the fan motor from the rear of the range. Test for continuity and apply power carefully (per service manual) to verify operation. Replace if not running.
- Check convection element: If equipped, test the convection element for continuity and replace if open.
