Possible Causes
Incorrect line voltage, Loose terminal block connections, Internal power supply failure on control board, Neutral not connected on 240 V models
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Use a properly rated multimeter and follow electrical safety practices.
- Verify wiring: Remove the rear access cover to the terminal block. Confirm that L1, L2, and N (if used) are wired according to the Danby installation diagram. Tighten any loose screws.
- Measure voltage: With power restored and extreme caution, measure voltage between L1–L2 (should be ~240 V) and L1–N / L2–N (~120 V each) on electric ranges. Incorrect readings indicate a supply or wiring issue that must be corrected.
- Inspect for heat damage: Look for discoloration or melting at the terminal block or wiring. Replace any damaged parts.
- Control board replacement: If supply voltage is correct and connections are solid, the internal power supply on the control board may be faulty. Replace the main control board.
