Possible Causes
Open oven temperature sensor, Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose connector at sensor or control board, Corroded sensor terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing the rear or interior panels.
- Access sensor: Inside the oven cavity, locate the temperature sensor probe on the rear wall. Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward to expose the connector.
- Test sensor continuity: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit (OL) indicates a failed sensor. Replace with a Danby-compatible sensor of the same length and connector type.
- Check harness: If the sensor measures correctly (~1050–1100 Ω at room temperature), inspect the wiring harness from the sensor to the control board for breaks, pinched sections, or burned insulation. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control connection: Remove the rear control panel cover and verify the sensor harness is firmly seated on the EOC. Clean any corrosion and reseat.
