Possible Causes
Drifted oven temperature sensor, Faulty electronic oven control calibration, Poor door seal causing heat loss, Incorrect rack or pan placement affecting airflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing internal components.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an oven-safe thermometer in the center of the oven and preheat to 350°F (175°C). Compare the displayed temperature to the thermometer reading after 15–20 minutes.
- Adjust calibration: Many Danby ranges allow temperature calibration in the settings menu (e.g., +/- 35°F). Follow the user manual to adjust if the difference is consistent.
- Inspect door gasket: Check the oven door gasket for gaps, tears, or flattening. Replace if it does not seal evenly all around.
- Check sensor: Test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature (~1050–1100 Ω). Replace if out of range.
