Possible Causes
Burned-out oven light bulb, Faulty oven door switch, Failed light relay on control board, Corroded bulb socket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power or unplug the range before replacing the bulb or working near the socket.
- Replace bulb: Remove the glass light cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with the correct type and wattage specified by Danby.
- Test door switch: Locate the door switch on the frame. Press it in and out; you should hear a click. Test continuity with a multimeter; replace if it does not change state.
- Inspect socket: Check for corrosion or heat damage at the bulb socket. Clean contacts or replace the socket if necessary.
- Control relay: If the bulb, switch, and socket are good, the control board may not be energizing the light circuit. Replace the EOC if confirmed.
