Possible Causes
Tripped house breaker, Loose power cord connection, Failed terminal block, Open internal thermal fuse (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Before opening any panels, turn off the breaker. Use a multimeter only if you are comfortable with electrical testing.
- Check breaker and outlet: Verify the range breaker is ON. For plug-in units, test the outlet with another appliance.
- Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover and check that the power cord is securely attached and that no wires are burned or broken.
- Internal fuse: Some Danby models have an internal thermal fuse on the control circuit. Locate and test it for continuity; replace if open.
- Control board: If power is present at the terminal block but the control is dead, the EOC or power supply board may have failed and require replacement.
