Possible Causes
Faulty door lock switch, Misaligned door latch, Broken door lock motor, Wiring fault between lock and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the range from mains before accessing the door lock mechanism.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and not obstructed by racks or trays.
- Inspect latch: Open the door and examine the latch and strike plate. Adjust if visibly misaligned.
- Test lock operation: Start a pyrolytic cycle (if safe to do so) and listen for the lock motor. If there is no sound, the lock motor or its supply may be faulty.
- Check lock switch: Access the top or rear panel to reach the door lock assembly. Test the microswitches with a multimeter for continuity when the lock is engaged.
Repair: Replace the door lock assembly if the motor or switches are defective.
