Possible Causes
Local overheating under one coil, Poor contact between coil and glass, Faulty zone temperature sensor, Blocked airflow near that zone
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before removing the hob.
- Allow cooling: Let the hob cool fully and test again. If E4 reappears only on one zone, focus on that area.
- Check coil mounting: From the underside, ensure the coil for the affected zone is firmly attached to the glass and centered. Tighten mounting screws if loose.
- Inspect local airflow: Confirm that insulation or cabinet parts are not pressed tightly against that coil, restricting cooling.
- Sensor check: If the zone has its own sensor, verify its placement and wiring.
Repair: Replace the zone sensor or coil assembly if overheating persists without external cause.
