Possible Causes
Loose harness between touch panel and power board, Faulty communication bus on main board, Incorrect or mismatched replacement boards, Electrical noise from poor earthing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before opening the appliance.
- Power reset: Turn off the breaker for 10 minutes, then restore power.
- Inspect harnesses: Access the underside and check all multi-pin connectors between the user interface board and the power/control boards. Reseat them carefully.
- Check earthing: Ensure the earth (ground) connection at the terminal block is secure. Poor earthing can cause communication issues.
Escalation: If E6 persists, one of the boards is likely defective and should be replaced as a matched set if specified by De Dietrich.
