Possible Causes
Non-compatible cookware, Faulty pan detection circuit on power board, Damaged induction coil sensor winding, Loose coil mounting causing poor detection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Verify cookware: Use a ferromagnetic pan (a magnet should stick firmly to the base) of the correct diameter for the zone. Avoid warped or very small pans.
- Test other zones: Try the same pan on another zone. If it works elsewhere, the issue is localized to one zone.
- Check coil mounting: From the underside, verify that the induction coil is firmly fixed to the glass with its central sensor in correct position. Tighten any loose mounting screws carefully without overtightening.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the sensor wires (if separate from the main coil leads) are intact and properly connected to the power module.
Advanced: If all mechanical and wiring checks are fine, the pan detection circuitry on the power module is likely defective and the module should be replaced.
