Possible Causes
Liquid spill on touch area, Damaged touch sensor IC, Cracked glass over control area, Calibration error in touch panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before cleaning or disassembly.
- Clean and dry: Thoroughly clean the glass surface with a non-abrasive cleaner and dry it completely. Pay special attention to the control area where symbols are printed.
- Remove objects: Ensure no metallic objects, magnets, or heavy cookware are resting over the control panel area.
- Power reset: After cleaning, leave the hob powered off for at least 30 minutes to allow any internal moisture to evaporate, then restore power.
- Inspect glass: Check for cracks or damage around the control area. Cracked glass can affect touch sensitivity and may require replacement of the entire glass-top assembly.
Escalation: If F08 persists, the touch control PCB is likely defective and should be replaced as a complete assembly.
