Possible Causes
Normal magnetostriction in coils, Loose coil mounting, Thin or warped cookware, High power operation with booster
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal access is required for basic checks; disconnect power if removing the hob.
- Try different cookware: Use heavier, thicker-based pans to reduce noise. Some noise is normal, especially at high power.
- Change power level: Slightly reduce the power setting to see if the noise decreases.
- Check coil mounting: If noise is excessive, remove the hob and ensure all coil mounting screws are tight and that any damping pads are in place.
Note: A certain level of humming is characteristic of induction cooking and not a fault.
