Possible Causes
Blocked cooling vents, Failed cooling fan, Faulty or overly sensitive thermal cut-out, Poor installation with insufficient ventilation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing the oven from its housing.
- Check installation: Ensure the oven has the ventilation clearances specified in the De Dietrich manual. Remove any obstructions from vents.
- Inspect cooling fan: With the oven running (power on, caution), the top cooling fan should operate. If not, the fan or its supply is faulty.
- Locate thermal cut-out: Access the top of the oven to find the safety thermostat. Some can be reset; others must be replaced if they trip frequently.
Repair: Replace the cooling fan or thermal cut-out if defective. Persistent tripping may indicate a deeper airflow or control issue.
