Electric oven will not heat, display shows F01 shortly after a cooking program is started.

Safety first: Disconnect the range from mains power by switching off the circuit breaker or unplugging it. Do not work on the appliance while it is energized.

• Access the temperature sensor: Open the main oven door and locate the temperature sensor probe (usually a thin metal rod at the rear upper area of the cavity, secured with 2 screws).
• Check for damage: Inspect the probe for obvious damage, burns, or broken insulation. If it is loose or bent, it may give incorrect readings.
• Test the sensor: Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor into the cavity to access the connector. Disconnect it and measure resistance with a multimeter. A typical DeLonghi NTC sensor is around 1000–1100 Ω at 25°C (check your service manual). Infinite resistance indicates an open sensor; near 0 Ω indicates a short.
• Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the rear of the oven. Remove the rear panel (with power off) and check for pinched, burnt, or broken wires and loose connectors at the main control board.
• Reseat connectors: Unplug and firmly reconnect the sensor plug on the control board to clear poor contact.
• Replace faulty parts: If the sensor is out of spec, replace the oven temperature sensor probe. If the sensor and wiring are good but F01 persists, the main electronic control board is likely defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
