Induction cooktop zone does not heat and shows F08 or similar fault code on the glass display.

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains power before removing any covers. Induction modules contain high-voltage capacitors that can retain charge; do not touch the board components directly.

• Allow cooling: Turn off the cooktop and let it cool for at least 30 minutes. Sometimes F08 clears after the module temperature drops.
• Check ventilation: Ensure there is adequate clearance under the cooktop as per DeLonghi installation instructions. Remove any stored items blocking airflow to the underside vents.
• Verify cookware: Use flat-bottom, induction-compatible pans of the correct size for the zone. Oversized pans that cover multiple zones can cause overheating.
• Inspect cooling fan: With power restored, start a low-power setting and listen for the internal cooling fan. If the fan does not run, disconnect power and access the underside of the cooktop to inspect the fan and its wiring.
• Clean dust and debris: Gently vacuum or blow out dust from the fan and heat sinks without touching electronic components.
• Replace faulty parts: Replace a non-operational cooling fan. If F08 persists despite proper cooling and fan operation, the induction power module may be damaged and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
