Induction cooktop zone will not detect pan and shows F09 or pan symbol flashing.

• Inspect coil connections: If the issue persists on one zone only, remove power, lift the cooktop from the counter, and remove the bottom cover. Locate the affected zone's induction coil and check the plug connection to the power module for looseness or burning.
• Test coil continuity: With a multimeter, measure resistance of the coil; it should show a low but finite resistance (a few ohms). An open circuit indicates a broken coil.
• Replace components: Tighten or reseat loose connectors. Replace a damaged induction coil. If the coil is good but F09 remains, the pan detection circuit on the power module is likely faulty and the module should be replaced by a professional.
