Possible Causes
Failed door lock motor or solenoid, Jammed lock latch mechanism, Faulty door lock position switch, Broken wiring between lock assembly and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the door lock. Do not attempt to force the door closed or open with tools.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect the door and frame for misaligned hinges, bent metal, or debris preventing full closure. Remove any obstructions.
- Listen for lock motor: Restore power and start a self-clean cycle. Listen near the top of the door for the lock motor operating. If you hear no movement, cancel the cycle and turn power off again.
- Access lock assembly: Remove the top panel or front control panel (depending on model) to access the door lock mechanism located at the top of the oven cavity.
- Inspect linkage: Check that the lock arm moves freely and is not bent or jammed. Lubricate lightly with high-temperature-safe lubricant if stiff.
- Test lock motor and switch: With a multimeter, test the lock motor coil for continuity and the lock position switch for proper open/closed operation when the lock is moved manually.
- Replace faulty parts: Replace a failed lock motor/solenoid or defective position switch with the correct DeLonghi door lock assembly. If the lock hardware is good but F10 persists, the control board lock driver circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
