Possible Causes
Shorted or stuck touch keys, Moisture ingress behind glass panel, Damaged touch control PCB, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains power before removing the control panel. Glass can crack; handle gently.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 10 minutes, then restore. Sometimes a temporary keypad lockup clears with a reset.
- Dry moisture: If the fault appeared after cleaning, there may be moisture behind the glass. Leave the oven powered off with the door open for several hours to dry. Avoid spraying cleaners directly on the control panel in the future.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and check the flat ribbon cable between the touch panel and the main control board. Reseat both ends and ensure there is no corrosion or damage.
- Check for physical damage: Look for cracks in the glass or delamination of the touch membrane.
- Replace touch panel: If specific keys do not respond or F11 persists, replace the complete touch control panel or keypad assembly as specified for your DeLonghi model. Transfer any seals or brackets from the old panel.
