Possible Causes
Improperly set low-flame screw on gas valve, Partially blocked burner ports, Incorrect injector size for gas type, Low gas supply pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Only perform flame adjustments if you are comfortable working around gas and have a stable flame. Do not disassemble gas valves.
- Clean burner: Thoroughly clean burner head and ports to ensure even gas flow.
- Access adjustment screw: Remove the control knob for the affected burner. Behind it, on the valve stem, there is usually a small brass adjustment screw for the minimum flame.
- Adjust flame: Light the burner and set it to the lowest setting. Using a small screwdriver, turn the screw slightly (clockwise to reduce, counterclockwise to increase) until a stable, small blue flame is achieved that does not go out.
- Check all settings: Test the burner at high and low settings to ensure smooth transition.
- Professional help: If adjustment does not stabilize the flame, have a gas technician verify gas pressure and injector sizing.
