Electric hotplate or radiant zone on Etna range does not heat at all.

Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the cooktop elements.

• Check indicator: If the hotplate indicator light does not come on, suspect the control or power supply.
• Access element: Lift the cooktop surface or remove the rear panel to access the element terminals.
• Test element: Measure resistance across the element terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
• Inspect wiring: Tighten any loose spade connectors and replace burnt wires.
• Control test: If the element is good, test the infinite switch or energy regulator for continuity in the ON positions and replace if faulty.
