Possible Causes
Blown internal line fuse on power board, Loose mains terminal block connection, Defective main control PCB, Faulty touch control/user interface board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the circuit breaker for the range/cooktop and verify power is off with a non-contact voltage tester before removing any panels.
- Check wall supply: Confirm the Etna range is on a dedicated circuit. Reset the breaker fully OFF then ON. If it trips again, stop and call an electrician.
- Inspect mains terminal block: Remove the rear cover where the power cord connects. Look for burnt wires, loose screws, or melted insulation. Tighten terminal screws firmly and replace any burnt wiring or terminal block.
- Check internal fuse (if fitted): Many Etna electronic cooktops have a small ceramic or glass fuse on the main control PCB. With power disconnected, remove the top or rear panel, locate the fuse, and test it with a multimeter for continuity. Replace only with the same rating.
- Inspect control PCB: Look for burnt spots, bulging capacitors, or corrosion on the main control board and touch control board. Reseat all ribbon cables and connectors.
- If E0 persists: The main control PCB or user interface board is likely defective and should be replaced as a complete module.
