Possible Causes

Non-induction compatible cookware, Pan too small for cooking zone, Warped or uneven pan bottom, Faulty pan detection sensor on power module

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Surface may still be hot. Do not touch hot zones; wait until the residual heat indicator goes off.

  • Verify cookware: Use a flat-bottomed ferromagnetic pan (a magnet should stick firmly to the base). Avoid aluminum, copper, or glass on induction zones.
  • Match pan size: Ensure the pan fully covers the marked cooking zone. Very small pans can trigger E1.
  • Check pan contact: Clean the glass surface and pan bottom. Remove any foil, paper, or spills between pan and glass.
  • Test other zones: Try the same pan on another induction zone. If only one zone shows E1, the pan detection circuit for that zone may be faulty.
  • Persistent E1 on one zone: Disconnect power and have the power module for that zone (including the coil sensor) inspected or replaced.
